Started in December the intro for Yim02 was recorded as part of a No Input Mixing performance piece for Breezeblock Beats Winter Solstice 2019 celebration, in Frome. I didn't realise how prophetic it was at the time. The performance never happened, as the SW radio used, was swamped by interference from the PA, again. Most of the tracks were made using a 7x7 matrix mixer, built by Punk Dub Hi-Fi studios. For each track, I chose a random handful of basic guitar pedals, with a minimal amount of input to start each recording off. Yim06 used a HP test tone generator set at 300hz, as the input source. The process was build or modify a basic sound generating device, plug it in, set some rudimentary levels and hit record, save, repeat. Their were no rehearsals and the minimum of post production, except for, evening out of sound levels, clean the odd clipped transient and I think 2 of the recordings have added reverb. All recordings were made from December 2019-April 2020, by Punk Dub Hi-Fi at their Scabbey Rd studio using Audacity.
